Volunteer Services
Do you want to recruit more volunteers-with the specific skills that you need?
Does your staff need assistance in volunteer management?
Are you looking for new board members?
Community Resource Network's (CRN) can be the answer to all of the above and more. We have been working with nonprofit organizations since 1942 to assist them in recruiting the volunteers they need.
We provide the only central clearinghouse for volunteerism serving the six-county metropolitan Chicago area. Our staff know the needs of the nonprofit organizations. Our goal is to mobilize people and resources through volunteerism to address those needs. We also work with companies that are committed to getting their employees involved in their communities and we can serve as your linkage partner in making those connections through the following services:
Chicagovolunteer.net makes it easier for you to recruit volunteers than ever before because this user-friendly website averages 12,000 visitors a month. It provides nonprofit staff with real-time management of their own volunteer listings as well as providing current information on volunteer management resources.
Celebration of Caring- Group Employee Volunteer Projects provide you with an opportunity to promote your organization to companies while meeting your agency's need through one-time group volunteer projects. These projects allow you to tap into a tremendous labor force that can accomplish work or provide opportunities for your clients that would otherwise not be possible.
The Board Placement Program has been recruiting and placing skilled professionals on nonprofit boards throughout metropolitan Chicago since 1982. These board members provide critical leadership and expertise to assist organizations in carrying out their mission. This program provides organizations with broader access to individuals with the skills they need.
